We make art-printed aprons for people who cook for the joy of it: full length, properly sturdy, and patterned with things worth looking at while the onions soften.

Garden, harbour, oven

The name comes from two of our favourite kitchen views. Fennel, feathery and green in the vegetable bed, stands for everything that comes in from the garden. The bay stands for the harbour down the road, crab suppers and a salty breeze through an open window. Our third collection is simply where so many kitchens end up on a Sunday: flour on the counter, the kettle on, something good in the oven.

Why an apron deserves good art

An apron is one of the few things in the kitchen you actually wear. It hangs by the stove, it goes on before the first pan comes out, and it is often the first thing a guest notices. So we treat each one like a small canvas, with prints of heirloom tomatoes, blue crabs, lattice pies and teapots painted to cover the fabric from neckline to hem.
